There are so many opportunities throughout Toronto to get people involved in helping their community and making it a better place to live. Volunteering can involve working with people, nature, animals or the environment. Whatever your interest is, there is sure to be an opportunity for you to offer help. Here are a few places you can look.

A Greener Future

Litter can be found everywhere, and A Greener Future is devoted to cleaning litter on the streets and shorelines throughout the city and province. In fact, the non-profit has cleaned up over 500,000 cigarette butts in Toronto alone and sent them to TerraCycle Canada for recycling. As well, through the help of volunteers, the organization has picked up 4,286,621 pieces of litter.
