5 Great Things About Living in Cliffside

Posted June 19, 2019 | by Signet Group

Cliffside was originally built in the 1950s as a suburb of Toronto. Today it is a renter's dream, with cosy cafés, indie shops and a country feel.

It's also home to the magnificent Scarborough Bluffs, an area of stunning landscapes, lakefront parks and the Bluffer's Park Yacht Club

Here are 5 reasons people love living in Cliffside:

The Bluffs

As most residents will tell you, the Bluffs are reason enough to move to Cliffside. The stunning cliffs that sit along Lake Ontario can easily make you forget that you're just 30 minutes away from the downtown core. The Scarborough Bluffs are home to 12 parks, two gardens and a beach, as well as hiking trails that run along both the top and the bottom of the sweeping cliffs.

The Easy Commute

Living in Cliffside means that you can reach downtown Toronto in just 30 minutes, if not less time. It caters to commuters, with many of the residences just minutes away from the Scarborough Go Station, including our apartments at 2570 Kingston Road. You're never too far away from Warden Station, and several bus routes travel through the neighbourhood.

Cliffside Village

Cliffside Village is essentially the 'shopping district' and can be found along Kingston Road. You'll find a great mixture of establishments, including local eateries, small boutiques and funky bars. This waterfront village has everything you need, with grocery stores, gas stations, banks and pharmacies.

The Neighbours

Another great thing about living in Cliffside is that chances are, you'll have some great neighbours. It is still a reasonably affordable area of Toronto and many young professionals are flocking here to start their families.

The Facilities

You would think having the Scarborough Bluffs in your backyard would be enough, but Cliffside has even more opportunities to get active and enjoy the neighbourhood. Take a yoga class or go swimming at the Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre, shoot some hoops at Variety Village Recreational Complex or work on your serve at Scarborough Bluffs Tennis Club
